Have Products Will Sell

So you have a web site, created products / set up your services page and the sales are not coming in the way you hoped they would. What can you do…

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a great way of promoting your products, and services and the affiliate can make money for every visitor, subscriber, customer, and/or sale depending on how you set-up your program.

How To Start

1. If you have a shopping cart you can set-up a very good affiliate program and include links, banners, emails and ads.

2. If you don’t have a shopping cart there are good management programs out there like Click Bank, Commission Junction, Share A Sale. Creating an affiliate program opens up a new avenue to sell your product/service to people who may never have found your site otherwise. More to come!

Starting your own affiliate program is a great way to increase traffic to your site AND increase sales. Think about it, even if visitors don’t purchase your product / service it is very likely they will subscribe to your e-zine or bookmark your site.

The Explosion of Landing / Squeeze Pages

Have you noticed lately that when you do a search that you come upon a “landing / squeeze page” where you have to do something before you can even see what you were searching for?

It’s all about Marketing.

(Not sure of the definitions for ‘landing page’ ‘squeeze page’ click here: http://www.jbcr-virtualsolutions.com/tips-and-articles.html#Internet

How to make it work.

Your visitor most likely came through a search, or an ad, so be sure you give some information right away as to why they arrived at your page and, yes, this is where they should be. In the case of a landing page it is usually a product sales pitch, where a squeeze page is a name / email capture for a newsletter, report, teleclass, etc.

What To Do And Not To Do With Web Site Content

I encourage you to take a look at your web site for some very common mistakes that people make so that people who visit your site are not confused or leave quickly.

1. Ensure that the fonts that you use the people visiting your web site can view. In the style sheet have a basic main font and add other fonts so you know that at least one of the assigned fonts will be seen.

2. Do not, I will repeat, do not underline in your content unless it is a link. People who visit web sites expect underlines to be links.

3. If you have to write a long sales page (sigh) break it up. Use headings, bulleted points, images.

Do Testimonials Add Value To Your Products - Services?

Absolutely! Testimonials add value to your products / services. Why? Testimonials speak to your potential customer / client from the point of view of someone who is satisfied. This endorses your products/ services, adds credibility, and also adds an emotional appeal.

Never make up a testimonial, it may look good on your web site but content flaws can throw up all sorts of red flags saying they are fake. It is better to have none than trying to create ‘fake’ testimonials.

The three forms of testimonials at present are:

Text Testimonials
Audio Testimonials
Visual Testimonials
