ECourses, training courses delivered to clients by email at prescheduled times, were very important in the learning process. Not only did they get the information, and what they had to complete and send back to the coach, they also had the ability to ask questions, and get answers.
This was very beneficial in the learning process.
They were used extensively and very successfully for many years and had advantages that went with the times. Rich media, audio and video, was still in its infancy and high speed Internet was something only available to a few folks and very expensive. Not so much anymore.
Then came audios and later videos.
New web friendly, cross platform compatible, high quality formats made it possible to put them up where before obstacles (lack of broadband) prohibited them from being a practical method for delivering training. With audios the big buzzword was ‘Podcast’. You were nobody if you didn’t have you own Podcasts’. My podcast, your podcast, everybody gotta have a podcast. What you don’t have a podcast?!!! What is wrong with you? Get With It!
Okay, I’m exaggerating a little. Or a lot. I can’t help myself 🙂
